This title, the fourth in Morrison Media's series of coffee table volumes, will be a collection of the world's best current photography of waves in all their myriad forms. Waves breaking, rolling, lifting, changing the shape of the ocean surface, changing the lives of humans who cross their paths.The title will draw on Australia's Surfing Life's award-winning global photography contribution team for its imagery, which will reflect a massive geographical diversity: the waves and coasts of Tahiti, Indonesia, Morocco, Spain, France, Canada, Iceland, Norway, Micronesia, Japan, Hawaii, California and many more will be showcased.Matching the images will be a collection of first-person text accounts of human encounters with waves. Contributors will include surfers famous and not-so-famous, sailors, fishermen, lifeguards, and everyday people who've had experiences at the hands of the ocean that are well worth telling and re-telling. They'll take the reader on journeys toward death, shipwreck, hilarious shorebreak wipeouts, and ecstatic moments deep in the heart of a roaring Pipeline tube.
