Once in a while a voice comes alonmg that is so extraordinary and magical it touches people's lives in a deeply personal way. When Terry Wogan played Eva Cassidy's version of Over the Rainbow on his Radio Two programme, millions of listeners had the same reaction: 'who is this amazing singer?' 

Eva Cassidy's story is as astonishing as her voice. In 1996 she died of cancer at age 33, virtually unknown outside the Washington area where she grew up and performed. It was not until four years later that her talent was recognised and her records began to sell in their millions.

Until now little has been written about Eva's life. But now, for the first time, Eva's story is told by her parents, family and friends.
